Some of Matt's Story
Matt Magill always knew that his destiny was on the baseball diamond. From a young age, he dreamed of making it to the major leagues, but his journey was anything but easy. Facing numerous challenges and adversities through high school, Matt's resilience paid off when he was drafted in the 31st round by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

After five years in the minor leagues, Matt made his major league debut in front of a sold-out Dodger Stadium. He pitched 6 2/3 innings in that unforgettable game, a testament to his determination and hard work. However, his path wasn't smooth. After a couple of months with the Dodgers, he was sent back to AAA and battled the Yips for an entire year, a mentally and physically challenging experience for any athlete.

At the end of the 2014 season, Matt was traded to the Cincinnati Reds, but his progress was halted by Tommy John surgery in his first year with the team. Once again, he demonstrated his perseverance by working his way back from injury and getting called up to the big leagues in September of 2016.

2017, He signed with the San Diego Padres, and played the season in Triple-A.

2018 He signed with the Minnesota Twins, where he got called up to the majors a month into the season and went on to pitch for two seasons.
After being designated for assignment, Matt was traded to the Seattle Mariners in the middle of the 2019 season, where he finished the season as the team's closer.

His final season pitching in the Major Leagues was in 2020 after requiring shoulder labrum surgery. Following a second shoulder surgery, Matt retired from the game in 2022. His journey through the highs and lows of baseball has shaped him into a resilient, dedicated, and mentally tough individual, a journey that continues to inspire those around him today.

Throughout his baseball career, Matt understood that the mental side of the game was just as important as the physical. Early on, he recognized that mastering the mental aspects of baseball—focus, resilience, and dealing with adversity—would be the key to separating himself from the competition. It wasn’t just about talent; it was about maintaining composure in high-pressure situations, staying confident after setbacks, and having the mental toughness to push through challenges like the Yips and injuries. Now, after years of battling through his own highs and lows, Matt’s new passion is sharing that knowledge with other athletes. He is dedicated to teaching the mental game, helping athletes create their edge, and empowering them to reach their full potential both on and off the field.
